Victory!: Thank you...

Thank you for your support in my successful campaign for State Representative. Because of your efforts we enjoyed a resounding victory, with 64.9% of the vote and winning 17 out of 18 precincts. I look forward to continuing the tradition of progressive representation in the 25th district.

From the time of our St. Patrick's Day kickoff, to the election night party at the Top of the Tiger, I enjoyed every minute of the campaign. I value the opportunity I had to canvass the district, meeting new friends and constituents. I also appreciate my friends, family and loyal Democrats who were so generous with their time, energy and financial support. Finally, I could not have done any of this without the support and encouragement of my husband, Russ, and daughters, Allison and Susannah.

Still Calls for United Efforts in General Election Campaign

Mary Still, Democratic nominee for 25th District State Representative, welcomed endorsements from Bob Pund and Sean Spence, who also ran on the Democratic ticket in the 25th legislative race, and called for a united front for the November election. “Both candidates ran professional and positive campaigns and I welcome this united effort to continue progressive leadership in the 25th district,” Still said at a unity event at the Muleskinners Democratic luncheon on Friday.

Sean Spence released the following statement: “I've personally watched Mary Still serve this state and community for nearly 20 years now. She has contributed so much and will be an excellent addition to the long line of progressive leaders we have enjoyed in the 25th district.”

Bob Pund released the following statement: “I ran for state representative because the state of Missouri was headed in the wrong direction and many people were being left out and left behind. I wanted to represent the people not represented so that we had a real “level playing field” for everyone.

Even though the election did not come out personally the way I wanted it to, I am confident that Mary Still shares my values and believes in having a level playing field for everyone. She will work hard to ensure everyone has access to affordable health care, a quality education and the chance to live the American dream. We believe that government should serve the "public good".

Mary should be commended for running a positive campaign on the issues.
She has an impressive resume of public service that will serve her in Jefferson City which will enable her to hit the ground running to make positive changes and improve the lives of Missourians.

I sincerely call Mary Still my friend and know she will serve the 25th District with integrity, hard work, and intelligence. Without any hesitation, I endorse Mary Still as our next representative.”
